How to Add Google Authorship to your Content?

Since the day Google took steps of introducing Google Authorship, almost all the blogs and website owners started linking their contents with it. Google authorship is a way to create profiles on the google+ along with profile picture, a short biography and other basic information about an author / writer. But why is google authorship necessary? Well if this question is striking your mind then let me tell you that google authorship feature allows the users get their contents and articles recognized. It is also useful in gifting a good ranking to the blogs and websites. I must say the survival of a blog or website is something very tough if the authorship accounts of all the writers have not been created. It also help you protect your content from copycats and plagiarism.

How to set up Google Authorship account?

If you are not familiar with the process of creating google authorship account, then not to worry just follow these simple steps and get it done.

• First of all you need to create a gmail.com ID with a Google+ account.
• Once you are done with creating gmail and google + accounts, then next step is to make sure that your google + name is matching with the byline of your articles and blog posts you are writing. Even I must say the spelling of your name should match on the two ends because consistency is what would help you rank the website perfectly.
• Next you would have to link your google + profile with the domain, you’ll have to create an email address with your domain name something like (you@yourdomain.com) and will have to verify it via your Google account, however, if you don’t have that email then just add Google’s profile link to your website with rel=”author” attribute.
• Insert any of your good looking and professional impacting image into the link of your blog where Google + profile is written.
• Once this is done, then link back your blog with your e-mail’s google + profile and write the name of the blog where the “Contributor” is written.

Step 1: If you have email address on your domain, so you can verify it using this link:

Step 2: If you don’t have a branded email address with your domain name then use this method to connect your website with your Google+ profile:

Step 3: Now after you have added your Google+ link to your website with rel=Author then come back to your Google+ profile and add your site/blog to the “Contribute to” section in your About setting as showing in below image:

Integration of Google Authorship:

With the passage of time, lots of people have initiated their blogs and websites and want to see them ranking good, but until or unless the strategies laid down by google, are not followed properly, the survival of a blog or website is not possible in the world wide web.
